Olga de Amaral (b. 1932) lives and works in Bogotá. For more than six decades, she has expanded weaving into the realms of sculpture, painting, and installation,using innovative techniques with horsehair, wool, linen, gesso, and gold leaf. Her large-scale, luminous works have made her one of the most influential textile artists of our time.

The show took place at the Palais de Tokyo. Inside, a glistening golden curtain anchored the space, moving subtly as the models stepped onto the runway. The installation mirrored the suspended strands in Amaral’s work and the fringes in Kriemler’s newest collection.
